In 2011, Ron Lowe, Johnny Garth, and a team of volunteers responded to the calls of city officials, parents, and community leaders to invest in at-risk youths. For more than a decade, Every Valley has provided Chattanooga's young people with opportunities to participate in a bold mission that takes their challenges and their perspectives seriously.
Our diverse team of volunteers began engaging youths with creative programming, including workshops on conflict resolution, financial management, and college and career readiness. Our consistency and commitment to stay for the long-haul have paid off. Developing partnerships with other organizations has also been vital. Hundreds of young people have found a sense of belonging and destiny as the barriers to their success are brought down and their valleys are lifted up.
